Joe has posted some obscure MP3’s for downloading over at http://jacktalcum.com. First up, there are some old Ornamental Wigwam songs from 1988. The Wigwam was a project that Joe and Dave Blood from the Milkmen did on the side. These songs came from a taped performance on Penn’s Cable TV channel. Says Joe:
Band Wagon was a tv show on University of Penn’s Cable TV channel. The show featured local bands playing live in the studio. Jay Schwartz came along and brought some videos which were chromo-keyed behind us at various times. The audio is from a VHS copy of the taped program.
You can also grab MP3’s of the cassette only A Date With the Dead Milkmen release. More from Joe:
This was the last of the ‘fictional’ Dead Milkmen albums and it is where the fictional met the factual. The only ‘real’ Dead Milkman missing by now was Dean [ed. that would be me...]. Four months after its release this tape would serve as initial demos for Dean’s first official meeting with Dave and me.

Oh, that’s great! An Ornamental Wigwam live album, right out of the blue. Of course, I still don’t have the original homemade ’studio’ album. I have picked up the link over at IO, thanks.
