There are some excellent sites out there showcasing contemporary poster design for indie bands, events, and performances. Listed here are just a few that I’ve found.

For posters featuring indie bands, two of the best are The Heads of State and Methane Studios.

Rene Wanner has a Poster Blog and also runs Rene Wanner’s Poster Page with a ton of links. Here’s another - Modern Dog Design Co. (you’ll have to deal with a Flash interface but the poster section is worth it).
