This is the best CD I’ve heard in years. I saw it mentioned on a few 2005 year-end lists and after hearing to the sample “Good Weekend” track on Art Brut’s website I ordered the disc. I won’t blather on about how awesomely punk rock it is or how it made me laugh out loud in the car on the way home from work the other day. You just need to hear it yourself. Think post-punk, The Fall, three-chord rock and roll. Very British. You can read what Pitchfork has to say, or what Pop Matters says. What are you waiting for? Get it now!

After listening to that sample on their site, I ran out and got this over lunch. I already love it. GREAT recommendation!

Glad you like it! Looks like they’re going to be playing in Philly in April on the 7th. I’m hoping to be there.

I checked to the web tracks. Those kids’ve surely been wearing the grooves out on big brother’s old Gang of Four records.
It’s all so totally British, I can see how you were powerless to resist.

I’ll have to pick up the album. Moving to L.A. has a spot in the rotation on Sirius 26 and I like the sound of that. I was like, ‘This Art Brut guy is pretty cool.’ I get it now.

I have this album too and i agree that it has a ’sock-rocking’ effect.
