It is with great confidence that I can relate the following facts about this book:
1. It will be a lighthearted and amusing read for both young and old.
2. It will make a fine “bathroom reader” for indoor or outdoor use.
3. It contains at least 700 hobo names (plus a few more).
4. It is in fact a “real” book written by John Hodgman.
5. No lobsters were harmed when printing the book.
You didn’t have any trouble getting past the tenth page? I’ve gotten that far since I got it for Christmas. I just can’t tell how seriously I should take anything being said. It’s like having a conversation with… me.
I’ll give it a second shot.
It is a ridiculous book.
As I described it to my father when I lent it to him recently – imagine one long Monty Python skit and you can hear John Cleese reading it while pretending to be a BBC newscaster…
