I’ve knocked together a simple WordPress blog site for archiving ephemera from the years I spent with the Dead Milkmen.
The Dead Milkmen Archives site will be a collaborative effort with submissions coming from a few folks connected to the band. I’ll be digging in the many boxes of junk I have in my basement to find sets lists, posters, lyric sheets, photos, etc. from the band’s active lifespan of 1983 to 1995.
The site is just getting started and plain in design for now, but the goal is to have a collaborative site that allows fans the chance to see and comment on items from the history of the band. Plus it’s impetus to clean out my basement!
This rules :D
Great job Dean!
Can fans get in on this? I have a vintage Elsie tee and sutter has a signed photo of some dude with a rolling rock and an orange. I think Joe sent it, though he will tell you that he thinks it was Rod.
I love the Dead Milkmen. Too bad you guys don’t play anymore. I have almost every record you all put out. My favorite is “Beelzebubba” and “Big lizard in my backyard.
I am one of those who have met you and have always flown the milkmen freak flag.Elsie is still tattoed on my leg. I would do any thing to just see the milkmen one more time. Even though I have seen you many times. I have even dreamed of having a tribute band. I would call it elsies dynamic kithen or something like that. I know you have a lot of fans still. The great thing about the milkheads are that we are a dime a dozen and we never fade away. Thank you so much for being the greatest, funniest punk band that ever existed.
Dawson Tarbell. I remember seeing the Milkmen with you in Norfolk Va.
