Album/CD Covers :: The Dead Milkmen
I was the drummer for the Dead Milkmen. We insisted on creative control and I was able to design the covers for all our album and CD releases.
The Big Lizard album was originally released in 1985 and has gone on to sell more than 150,000 copies. The cover was drawn by hand at full LP album size. The Not Richard But Dick CD cover was taken directly from a quick sketch. The Death Rides A Pale Cow cover was printed on recycled paper stock and designed to look like a Sumie painting with the band’s logo as the signature artist’s “chop”. The Now We Are 20 cover was built with cut paper and then scanned.
